Apple has recently announced a special version of iMac specifically designed (and priced) for schools and educational institutes. This specific version of iMac costs $200 less than regular price.
With 21.5-inch screen, 3.1GHz Intel Core i3 dual-core processor, a 250GB hard drive, and without thunderbolt driver, this iMac costs $999 only. However, smile might be gone from consumers when the truth comes to light that this less costly iMac features only 2 GB of RAM and less horsepower. With that said, this new iMac is not only cheap in price but also cheap in configuration.
Therefore, it's up to the consumers whether they can sacrifice the latest powerful stuff from iMac for the sake of $200.
